Our Mission...
to
fulfill Kay's Dream... Helping Kids with Cancer!
The mission of the
Kaylyn Elaine Warren Foundation is to fulfill Kaylyn's
dream of aiding cancer patients and their families, especially those
under the
age of 18 and suffering from Leukemia. Our goals are to make available
scholarship funds for further education, to assist families of children
with childhood
cancers, and especially to increase awareness of Leukemia, through fund
raising
events. Our ultimate goal will be to establish a safe, medically
supervised facility
to nurture cancer kids in a summer camp environment. We wish to let kids
be
kids and not to miss out on life's joys because of chemotherapy, other
cancer
treatments or their side effects. Each child is unique. Each child can
find the joy
that God has for them each day. Each child is a gift to be cherished and
loved.
Each child belongs to God.
The foundation is dedicated to serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ, and to rely on the
strength that only he can provide especially in times of
crisis due to cancer.
Kaylyn had many dreams in her short life, but the one that will live on
through
this foundation is the dream of running a camp for kids with cancer.
Kaylyn was
diagnosed on October 15, 2005 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, ALL.
In an
instant at the age of 17, her life was changed forever. On March 13,
2007, after a
courageous 17 month battle, Kaylyn was healed to everlasting life and is
now
cancer free. Hers is a legacy of faith, hope and love. We will carry on
her desires
and dreams to help other frightened children suffering from cancer, to
find hope
through faith in a sovereign God, feeling His unending love and knowing
" I can
do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Phil. 4:13
